Tree Decorating

Last night we put the tree up and the kids helped Ben put the lights on & then all four of them decorated the tree by themselves while Ben had the Xmas music channel playing. They did a pretty good job!

The countdown is on... only 25 more days till Xmas!! :o)

Today we went for a little drive to find a new place for me to do portraits locally for clients down here that don't want to drive far. I have a family of 7 tomorrow that we were looking for certain things and I found them today! :o) I used Kelsi as my model so I could make sure I was getting what I wanted. We also saw lots of deer!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving today! We ate around 3 pm after waiting for what seemed like forever since our oven is micro small you can only cook one thing in there at a time! Amber, Mark & the kids came up last night to spend Thanksgiving with us. The kids had fun spending time together and playing. We started off the day with a pancake breakfast, then the kids took off outside and we found them later in the tree. lol They built a fort by themselves. I asked each of the kids what they were thankful for and here are the responses...

This week

Kati and Kody went to a daycare/preschool this week since my parents went to AZ to visit Kim for over a week. They did ok, I guess Kody adjusted quicker then Kati. She did have fun making crafts. Tuesday they had a Thanksgiving feast. They passed out after coming home from the feast. This week I am definately thankful that I do not have to do that all the time. To get 4 kids up and ready, out the door on time, dropped off at 2 different places etc. etc. was a pain in the butt!!

New Bed...

This past Sunday we bought Kaitlyn a new bed, she thinks its a princess bed & calls the brass knobs on it "ornaments". We offically kicked her out of the toddler bed & Kody out of the crib! He has done excellent in the new toddler bed and actually stays in it when its bedtime.

Lighting and Fireworks!

Saturday night we were at the Summit in Reno for their lighting ceremony. We waited outside in the cold for an hour before Santa arrived. Santa was escorted in on a old firetruck. They had choir singing etc. then once Santa arrived they lit the village and had fireworks. Pictures didn't turn out to well, trying to keep track of the kids and take pictures doesn't work well. :o)

Ben turns 35..... I turn 30!!

I am slacking these past weeks for sure!! SO much I should have been posting on. I have 3 weeks left of classes and that means.. Finals.. Final Research papers.. and so on. Busy time! Anyhow.. Missed Veterans Day, which is also Bens Birthday! He turned 35! Getting old.. hahaa :o) Friday I turned 30 (I'm so excited.. no idea why!). Friday night my parents watched the kids for us. We went out with friends to Brew Brothers which is inside Silver Legacy Or Eldorado not sure which one it is supposed to be part of since its in the middle. We had a fun time! Randy who is one of my best friends from way back when I worked at Super Kmart @ 16. So basically I've known him about half my life! He felt the need to embarass me, told the waitress it was my bday. They brought me a "Blow Job" shot.. (I don't drink!) and sang Happy Birthday. I didn't do what I was supposed to with the shot but I did drink it.. sip it .. whatever you would like to call it. :o) Me, Randy & Kevin giving bunnyears..

Did you Vote?

I voted today for the first time after legally being able to for the last 12 yrs. I was back and forth on who or what I was voting for. I didn't like either main canidate for different reasons. If there was a person that was the 2 combined I would have been 100% for them. Kelsi has been doing all kinds of election stuff in school and she was completely for McCain.. so was the other kids. We don't talk about the stuff that much and well I'm probably not the best knowledgable person about either canidate. I did vote for Obama... So I don't want to hear from anyone that I'm frickin Racist!!! lol Now if the country goes to hell worse then it is.. sorry.. I should have been born in England where you don't get to choose the Queen! :o) Here is a video of Kati expressing her views on this whole thing. After she came into me and was venting about it, I had to try to record her. It was much better and a lot more funny the first time around when she was just going off about it.
