Babysitter Gone BAD...

So this picture would represent what happens when I am at an all day training, Ben works graveyard.. comes home from work & has to babysit for the next 9 hours to then go back to work shortly after.. Its apparent he fell asleep while doing his babysitting duties. :o) Just in case you are unclear as to what is in this picture it used to be my computer room turned into a mess of feathers taken from a featherbed while the rest of the room was destroyed.

Pinwheels for Prevention

Tuesday the 15th of April my work put up 498 pinwheels on the legislature lawn in Carson City. April is Child Abuse Prevention month as well as Sexual Assault Awareness month (my cousin has informed me it is also Autism awareness month.. busy month!) Each pinwheel represents a child abuse case in the Carson City area that was reported last year. There were lots of volunteers out there, girl scouts, Senior project girls etc.

Busy Busy Busy

Softball is in full swing around here & they are def. more serious then the last few years we played. Kelsi's coaches also coach the tournament team for the valley so they are great coaches. She will def. learn a lot this year. Yesterday they had a fundraising tournament where they played 3 games, the first game was against Carson City & they won 7 -0! Then they played Fernley & the last game against Reno where they lost both of those. They were both really good teams. Kelsi has a total of 21 games this season & McKena has 14. McKena's first game is tomorrow night. So between games & practices we'll basically be living at the field the next few months.

My training starts this week! Will be a total of 40 hrs in the next few weeks on top of working. The trainings are held at night & ALL day on the weekends. Yesterday was a self defense class that we hosted & unfortunately the instructor for it was a no show. So we will be finding another instructor & having it again.
